What is Rape Culture? Rape culture an ideal perpetuated by American society that leans towards blaming the victim. Questions like “what did you wear”? “Were you leading him on?” “How much did you drink?” implying that victim was at fault for her assault, when in reality her perpetrator holds the responsibility.  We live in In a culture that is preferential towards men and their opportunities (example: Brock Turner, Jameis FSU) and often have to work hard in order for perpetrators to receive their proper consequences. More often than not, it is the victim that is shunned, blamed, or excommunicated from communities for his or her accusations.
